Why are McMurray's hatching eggs doubed the price of most hatcheries? Are they better quality?

Maybe they makes the eggs cost more so that ppl end up buying the chicks instead. Gotta make money somehow.

I didn't see where they offer much selection either. If I were you I would try to get them elsewhere, preferably locally if you can so as to avoid shipping trauma

Nothing locally out here...have to take my chances on shipping..I got my chicks from them last summer, great job. They've been my only experience. Any other hatchery recommendation?

Why get expensive eggs from a hatchery when there are tons of BYC breeders with great prices?

You can see their breeding stock too. Sounds like a good idea,lol.

TO theOEGBman.....Because I never seem to be fast enough before I see them & they're sold already (I don't do well with bidding wars) plus I can only purchase by debit/credit card...

Don't buy them from a hatchery, you just end up with hatchery quality chickens. Get them from people here and end up with breeder quality chickens for a lot less.

If you see someone selling something PM them or reply to the thread. Most folks will say sorry they're sold this week - but I can get you some next week - I've never seen folks trying to push up prices as they do on Ebay or anything

Most here would also accept money orders or checks or things like that....
