I noticed on the McMurray shipping thread that many opt for this chick from them. I did the first few times I ordered thing "Wow a weird breed for my flock." However, it seemed that it always was an odd ball roo of unknown lineage that would mess up any breeding plans I had for my birds. I figure they were just tossing in a cull from one of their hatches. So the last few times I've ordered I specified no exotic. Last time they toss in an extra chick of the type I ordered (Black Star) but no exotic. Anyone else feel this way?
It is the left over roos... They also use them as packing peanuts (add warmth for smaller orders) Its one way that they can reduce the amount of wasted roo babies...
