I had both of these before. The Golden Sebright (mine) lived for about 9 years.
My Easter Egger Lived 11 years.
I know ,,,, the more you handle them, the more docile they turn. Years earlier, when a few neighborhood children used to come over and pet the chickens daily, my flock was friendly, and docile. Those children grew into adults now, and well, no longer come to pet the chickens. I do pet them but not as much as when there were many others to do such.
Many feed stores call their Easter Eggers Americaunas. Mine was same, and not a pure Americauna. Easter eggers are not a true breed, but a varied combination, mixes, That is the reason they are not recognized as a breed in chicken shows.The feed store told my Dad that she was a Americauna.
