Me, colorblind....

That last part--i love the most! Im relieved to know that what i did was right. I have coral blues and lavenders, too. Unfortunately for the coral blues, all turned out to be males (purchased as keets). As with lavenders, i had mostly males and only a handful of females. So thats what i did! All lavender females went the coral blue males.... The rest of the lavender males went with the pg/pied group.. I dont hatch from that group, btw. Egga collected from them are just for consumption. Im more focused on the other color groups.
A Lavender that is homozygous for the full dotting gene mated with a Coral Blue will produce all Lavender keets. The keets will be heterozygous for the full dotting gene with either a partial dotting gene or a no dotting depending on what dotting genes the Coral Blue parent had.

@R2elk- probably the answer is no, but you know me, always curious - and this isn't a very good pic, it's just one I pulled off the web. But- is there any significance between the bold center mark with thin lines on either side vs the widow's peak that gets wider on the back of head/neck? 20210819_115950.jpg

The solid center line gets pointed out but yest it does have thinner lines on both sides of it. It indicates that the keet will be fully dotted as an adult. When dealing with Pieds, a really thin head stripe usually means a Pinto rather than a standard Pied.

To clarify if your "really thin line" and my "widow's peak" are same thing -this little guy?
I don't think I have any, I just saw the pic and wondered. Screenshot_20210819-115837_Chrome.jpg

Nope, not what I am talking about. When I say really thin, think about 1/16" to maybe 1/8" coming to a point and completely bordered with white for a Pinto.

It is impossible for me tell what color the throat and belly is in that photo or I might be thinking pied if it is white in those areas, Otherwise it doe not mean anything special..

I don’t know about you, but I’m a visual person.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I do believe this is what @R2elk is talking about.
Pinto keets, taken from google.

And these are of my pied pearl grays I hatched. They have a V of white on either side of their head strips. Unlike the mostly white pintos.

Thank you! I don't have any close ups of the widow's peak, I just saw that pick online. The one at bottom of your 2nd pick is wider in front than the one I saw, but it didn't have the white, and started further back.
I keep telling myself that all 26 of mine are pearl grays, but it's hard not to wonder as they grow if there isn't a Bella lurking in there or even a "real brown" brown as opposed to her faulty buff dundotte. I know there's no significance to it but it's strange to look at the 5 older ones with their creamy baby faces that are replicas of her, but have gray feathering coming in.
Mama Rose tried to give me a heart attack- she led EVERYONE out in the field 2 days ago. I spent 3 hours going through corn rows in 100% humidity trying to round up 29 birds. Everyone is home safe, but she's not allowed to take the babies out anymore!:rant
