I will definitely keep you guys posted. It will be interesting to see what develops!

BTW, DanielBrown - that is a GORGEOUS rooster! If I had one like that I'd almost be tempted to keep him!

Your pictures look just like my EE hens, your girls are so pretty

. When I bought my EE "pullet" chicks, last year, I was sort of suspicious of one of them by about 3 wks old and he definitely was very different than the rest of the girls by 8 wks of age. He was much larger, thicker legs, bigger red comb, etc plus he was white and black rather than the shades of brown that the girls were. He is a nice rooster and just became a father. This shows how they differed in appearance at around 6-7 mo old.

I'm still way too new to guess, but I just had to tell you that those girls (crosses fingers) are *beautiful*!!

They are really pretty. I have some chicks that were born may 1 and they have been crowing for about a week now.

Beautiful birds!!!! Out of my 8 EE 'pullets', 3 are roos and one began crowing at 4 weeks.

They're all about 16 weeks and have been crowing for the past 3 weeks. LOTS of crowing...LOTS...
