GREAT for Chicken treats. Feed LIVE not the dried crap. My hens go Crazy for these ! I feed them these once a week for treats.
For $20 I have a plastic shoe box size bin (with top but no holes in the top) and will include from my big bin.... Some new Bran and "used bran" (so it contains eggs), beetles, Pupae and meal worms. Will also have toilet paper roll in there for them to hang out in and a small carrot for water.
This way you are already started with ALL 4 things to keep it working. When I started I only had the worms so it took 4 months for the beetles to turn and then lay eggs.
So easy to take care of and your girls will Love you for it ! Read up on the setup you like and go from there. I like the ONE BIN set up because when you have to clean it out it's a lot easier !

I am also at the Carlisle Farmers Market EVERY Saturday from 7-Noon (selling my soaps, not eggs) so you would have to let me know a couple days before if you want to meet me there. I can take credit cards too if that is easy for you.
