Mealworm farming

Did you mean took over a month to start to pulpate? Maybe I am expecting too much too early. Maybe it takes longer with giants. I hope that is the case. Thanks for the post.

I am not a mealworm farmer dut I looked in to it and I read that if you order gaint mealworms that they are ingected with stuff to make them digger no idea if that is true so don't hold it a a gents me. Good luck

I once used giant meal worms that came from Wal Mart. They did go though the life cycle, but it took a while for them to change, longer than other meal worms I got in the mail.

Yep. There are probably a lot of variables that go into the timing (temp, humidity, age, etc.), but it did take a month for the first one for me.

I have a question as to why my mealworm pulpae are not turning into beetles. It has been at least a month of harvesting pulpae and separating them into their own bin. They are just turning black and dying.
What am I doing wrong?

For me, things generally turn black and die when there's not enough moisture. When I started keeping a small Tupperware container with water in it in my pupae bin, my losses definitely went down.
