I have a black sex link chicken named eclipse, she's alittle over a year old. She has been laying down alot the last few days. She will walk, but I have to make her leave the coop in the morning. I've checked for pasty butt, and she doesn't have bloody poo. I don't know what's wrong with her. Any help please?

I don't know when she last lay. I know yesterday I had 3 eggs, but four hens. They all eat Purina all flock or flock raiser, I don't remember. Sometimes I give them hi pro scratch grains. I'll check for lumps.

Have they ever been wormed? I thought we had a calcium issue with one of our hens, and it was actually worms! After I treated her PRAISE LORD JESUS she is doing great! She was in very bad shape. I was afraid she wouldn't even make it through the treatment! She did have shelless eggs which we treated with calcium, but that didn't help. So we treated her with colloidal silver, and worm treatment. And she is happy and doing great now!

They've never been wormed. How would I know? Is it actual worms in poo? I checked yesterday for pastybutt, she does have a bit of poo in her feathers, but the actual vent or whatever is clean

In our sick hen I saw the worms, but all the others I could not see them in their poo. You should be able to tell that it is a type of worm. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the "stronger" ones don't always show symptoms.

Is she laying down only in the nest boxes or if you put her out in the yard if she just laying down wherever she is ? When you make her move, how does she respond to you? For example when you approach does she fluff up and start trying to almost scare you away from her? If you push her into moving and make her go out into the yard does she walk around clucking a lot all puffed up?

Can you take a short video of her when you make her move? It can be much more instructive in helping to diagnose potential issues then looking at a still photo or even reading a description. Actually being able to see the bird moving around, hear the bird Etc is a big part in making a good diagnosis of potential issues

She just lays where she is. She will move around some, but then I'll find her hiding somewhere either standing or laying down. She doesn't care if I approach her
