found the info on page 375 of this thread! I need to figure out how to go to a specific page without having to click on multiple pages just to get to it! Anyays, it was 55 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, which equates to about 131 degrees Fahrenheit! I know what I am doing tonight!

Is it possible to sift the pupa and beetles out and save them too?

Oppps I was way off on that temp!

I think it was cluckyjay that sifted out her worms and pupa and rinsed them off w/ water when she had a mite problem.

II AM SO EXCITED, got home from a 2 week vacation last night and finally see little wormies !!!!!!!!! I think it took 2 months to see them after moving my beetles into a larger fish tank. I feel safe now feeding the small tank to the chickens. I have unknown hundreds of beetles maybe a thousand in the large tank and now with the babies I feel like it is going to work to feed the girls treats in the winter. I was beginning to wonder if those eggs were ever going to hatch. Now I need to figure out what I am going to sprout so they have some greens,

Right there with you! All I have now are beetles, beetles and more beetles. So hoping they are doing their thing and making eggs!

Oh....give it time!!! about 3 weeks after your beetles die...you will see thousands!!!

I have dead beetles been dead for a month and still no worms. I just hope they do something. I'm out of worms again. LOL

Throw a slice of apple in there and check in an hour or 2 for little tiny worms.

I had the same thing happen to me, and I was told there were probably little worms in there. One day I decided to sift through the oats (the substrate I use) and sure enough, I found TINY little worms! It had been nearly two months and those worms were really little! A magnifying glass would make it easier. I bet you have worms too Destin0709!

That was about 6 months ago and my worm farm is now booming!

I constantly have a large number developing at every stage in my plastic 7 drawer arrangment. I try to keep up moving the larvae and the beetles out from the worms into new drawers, but it gets hard to keep up.

Got apples and potatoes in the bins and nothing. My worms I got in May turned to beetles and are all dead now and I thought by now I would've seen worms from them. Then I ordered more in June and started getting some beetles right away now I have over a hundred beetles and still nothing.
