Mealworms and Crickets Question

I have a 4 month old silkie and a 3 month old BR. The silkie is no longer afraid of the crickets and chomps them down like she's starving to death. The BR, eh, still half afraid and half curious. Now, the mealworms, good lord, they LOVE them! So my question is how many is a good amount to feed each chicken? I'm sure if I put out all 500 of the worms at once, they will be gone in 2 second but I don't want to overdo it.

Thanks in advance!

Even though the diet of chicks is naturally dominated by insects, they likely to not have the ability to chow down on so many large and often fat loaded morsels with so little effort. Make them work for their eats and provide such as a treat rather than a staple.
