Mealworms. Off with their heads?

We are going to give some mealworms to our 14 day olds this weekend. Do you guys crush the heads so the mouth parts don't eat my babies innards? Seems like some do and some don't. We had a blast watching them go for crickets for the first time!

They won't eat your baby's innards. They'll be dead too fast.

Nope, never had a problem feeding them live.

I have fed them to 3 day old chicks and

those chicks are rough and tough on mealworms

No need to behead the worms.
