Mealworms

Is it ok for my chicken to eat mealworm beetles? And as for mealworms, i've seen they are very rich in fat and protein so how many mealworms can i feed to my chicken per day without causing them health issues?

They can eat beetles just fine but have to do some processing / dismembering before actually swallowing.

With meal worms, about 10 or so per day for the first few days are handled without issue. Make certain they either get some quality chick starter feed or have good free-range foraging opportunities. A group I am starting now at less than 24 hours post hatch can already eat about 10 meal worms in a day and still have time to fill crop a couple times with the starter I use in the brooder.
