Has anyone ever had their own little mealworm farm? We raise and sell starter kits and teach folks how to do this as part of their homesteading. They also make nutritious feed for lizards, turtles, fish, birds, etc. They're so easy to raise and I really enjoy it. Does anyone know of any other feed similar to this that we can just as easily raise on our own? I would love to give them a variety. If someone knows how to raise crickets or something like that, I would be willing to trade a mealworm kit with instructions if they would trade one of those kits with instructions. Thank you

I know there are many people who farm Black Soldier fly larvae - from the Darkling Beetle.
They are supposedly more nutritious than the mealworm.

I have had friends try to raise mealworms, but gave up on them. Maybe they just don't grow well here... high altitude (10,000 feet) and very dry. I have never tried, so I don't know know what's wrong.
