mealworms?

My chicks are about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks old now. I was thinking they might like some mealworms. Do I need to feed them grit if I give them a few mealies? Where do I even get grit?

You can use sand... like the kind used in a child's sandbox.

I got Nutri Source Chick Grit at TSC. Mine love mealies! So fun to watch them grab them up.

I bought meal worms to give my chicks for the first time today. Will they be okay if I pick up the chick grit tomorrow or do I need to head to the feed store?

okay, never mind. My chicks are fready chickens and they actually are afraid of the meal worms. One chick pecked at one once and walked away while the other two would run everytime they got a glimpse of them!

What kinda chickens are they anyway!!
