Mean and broody !!!

I guess I should have given all the information up front but it would have been like reading the encyclopedia for fun...the first flock of 5(-1) turned 1..9/14/20 the second flock will be 1(3 of the 5) the 14TH of March. The second flock lost a girl 3 weeks ago and was a breed mate to the one now being picked on. I lovingly call 1 from each flock "the enforcer" she makes sure the head hen has enough to eat and is given the respect she deserves....that being said the enforcer of the second flock has taken the MAKING sure that the last girl(the one being picked on)in the pecking order knows her place more than normal. Can this be a reaction from her loosing her breed mate
I'm really feeling for that 8th girl now. I do think she could be mourning the loss of her friend and that that would make her an easier target for a bully. She could also be a target because she is on her own now.
Maybe a few days in segregation will make the bully behave better and give #8 a break.
