mean chick????

Hello! So I just got 10 chicks yesterday, and there are a variety of different breeds. They are all around 3-4 days old and all look pretty healthy- only one chick got pasty butt and they are recovering from it. Yesterday I saw our Lavender Orpington chick pecking other chicks (thankfully it isn't pecking our sick chick). It also steps on all the other chicks while they sleep, but is that just chicks being clumsy? Anyways, this morning the Orpington chick had feathers from other chicks in its mouth! I looked at all the other chicks to make sure they weren't injured or anything. Is this a sign of a mean or aggressive chick? Should I separate from the flock and how do I do it? Thanks!

As long as blood isn't being drawn, I would not interfere. The social order of chickens is not always pleasant.

Thank you for the reply! That makes me feel better- I will keep an eye on them to make sure no blood is drawn.
