Mean chick

My chicks are about 2 weeks old and I have one thats mean. Every time I put my hand in the brooder this one attacks me and bites at me. Is there any way to correct this behavior? I'm worried this is the rooster I ordered. If it is, I dont want him to grow up mean! Thanks!

Hold him... hit him VERY SOFTLY when he does peck at you

I would use my finger and tap him on the comb as chickens do when establishing the pecking order, you can also tap him on the neck.

I'd recommend gently hold "him" down until he stops fighting you, then continue to hold for a few moments while he is calm and then release. If he comes right back at you, do the same exact thing again. At 4ish weeks one of my red sex links got really really mean and I'd physically hold her down. It took a few weeks but she finally quit acting like a b-word and we've had zero issues since. She is still top hen but she knows I'm boss.
