Mean Ducklings

I have 2 four week old ducklings, both girls. My saxony duckling recently started being mean towards my other 3 adult ducks; Chasing them out of the pool, running after them with their beak open, chasing them away from their food, ect. I've seen adult ducks be mean to ducklings but never vice versa. Is she just trying to show them who's boss or is it a possibility she could be a drake?

The duckling could be a drake or just a little one tired of being bullied by the older ducks.

Not necessarily a drake, no. I’ve had male and female ducklings equally be dominant like this. As long as there’s no biting going on, it shouldn’t be a big deal..
How long have they all been hanging out together??

They are the little guys in a big world and are trying to establish their standing in the hierarchy. Why wait to be put in your place at the bottom if you have a fighting chance to be at the top?

When they were younger i had them out in a cage and the older ducks tried to attack them through the bars, but after they were 3 weeks they've all been free ranging together with no issues
