Just look what they did to my babies.. I had them in the same coop with each other and they pecked the tops of their head!! Will the head feathers come back in?
Since they done this we have since built a coop and run for them seperately..

Before I get statemens on the age difference.. The welsummers and the polish were hatched at the same time..

I like your pen. I have had same problem with my polish except they have been doing to each other.

It will grow back it will just take a while. It will probably be after they molt. It seems like other chickens do that to top notch. I think there jealous

Anytime you mix birds of disportionate sizes you can expect to have pecking. Sometimes the result is fatal. The feathers might grown back, it all depends on the severity of the pecking. I have a friend that has several bald headed chickens.

Thanks guys.. I was afraid of that.. When do chickens have their first molt?

Also, the pecking occured over the course of 2 days.. I guess thats all it took.. Poor dears!
