Mean Roo??

I have a 7 wk old roo and two 6 wk old girls. My roo has been chasing and pecking my girls on their backs and just being rough ( no aggression towards me and he is not really hurting the girls). But isn't it a little early for him to start being hormonal? What should I expect as my Roo grows? Also I am a first time Roo owner.

Sounds like he is just dominant. Boys do tend to be more rambunctious, he isn't getting his adult hormones yet. What breed are they?

There are my big girls out side (7).Then my girls (2) and my Roo in the broader.

At 7 weeks I would have them all out together. The senior hens will knock the rough edges off the cockerel with luck.

Roo is maybe Marana mix 1st girls is a Wyandotte mix , 2nd girl is a Ayam cemani ( he is especially mean to the Wyandotte)

As long as they are out of any frigid wind and there is plenty of ventilation in the coop, they will be fine. Good luck!

If they have supplemental heat, you need to wean them off of that. However, they should be alright once you get them used to the cold weather

I don't know how cold it gets where you are.
At 7 weeks they should have a proper set of feathers. I don't use broody coops, or heat lamps, or even incubators. Here even at minus 6 Centigrade as long as the cockerels and pullets can keep dry and out of the wind they survive.
@Redhead Rae makes a good point regarding supplementary heat. If you've been using this then I would shut that off while they are still in the broody coop to get them used to lower temps.
