Mean rooster

My six chicks are about 7 weeks old. One turns out to be a rooster. And he's already ruffled his feathers and attacking me. Can a rooster Be Tamed? If so how do I go about it?

Are you sure it is a rooster? Also I am sure there are some articles in the learning center dealing with aggressive roosters: https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. What breed is "he"?

What breeds do you have? Some are known for being aggressive and the hens can be as bad as the roos. If you post photos of your chicks at "what breed or gender is this," they may be able to tell you.

Hi and welcome to BYC. Whilst not all cockerels / roos are mad - any cockerel that started giving me attitude at 7 weeks would be culled immediately.
