Ewwwww! That frog is nasty! How many of those do you find in your back yard? We get thousands of toads in the garden but nothing that looks like it could eat your bantams.

My daughter actually saw this one while we were doing a night check on the birds along the swan pool picking off toads and eating them like they were popcorn. We lost our Dogue de Bordeaux to a cane toad last year. Since then, I've found many of these cane toads. Their horny formations on the head are different from the american toads, as well they have those nasty large glands that secret poison. Many dogs in FL fall victim to these things. I found one last winter that was half this size, and I thought that one was large. I need two hands to hold this one. A few times a week I'll go out at night when toads are active and look for them and they are destroyed. When I was holding this one, it would actually grunt and almost growl at me.
