What is the best way to wrap or bag the bird for freezing?

I was watching a processing video that said if they are over 4lbs use a 2gal ziploc bag. I have a vacuum sealer and they fit in the large bags.

For whole birds I've really liked the shrink wrap bags from this webpage: http://poultryshrinkbags.blogspot.com/

If I'm processing them in pieces, I like the FoodSaver (R) ziplock bags with the valve that you can use to vacume out the air. Both have done a good job for me in keeping the meat in good condition and they're easy to use and lable too.

I ordered the poultry shrink bags... they looked really nice and I liked how the website had a picture tutorial. I'll let you know how it works out... my husband wants to cull them next weekend, but I guess he'll need to wait if the bags havent come in yet! :)

I buy the poultry shrink bags from here: http://www.nadyaspoultry.com/shrink-bags.html

You'll get them in a couple days and the prices are the best I've found and you can buy only a couple if that's all you need. They even gave me a free sample bag to try.

They are hands down the best way to package whole birds. I just pulled a duck out of the freezer from 8/11 and it was in great shape.

If you are cutting up the birds and freezing parts, a food saver vacuum machine works great.
