Meat birds and DE?

Hello,
I am wondering if people use DE for their meat birds. Do you use it in their bedding or in their food? I use it for the layers...but have not heard anyone talk about it for meat birds.

I use it on mine more than the layers because of the meat birds ginormous Poops and they do more laying around. It keeps the smell way down and is really benificial for them, I love that stuff. I put it in their hay bedding, feed, dust pan's, and run.

I used DE a lot for my meat birds. I sprinkled it all over the bedding (straw), would turn and add additional on the top. I had absolutely no smell issues

Also, there was an area that had been cleared of large pieces of straw, so only small pieces and dirt. I would add DE to that area, the meaties love their dust baths as well

I keep it in the runs for all of my birds; love the stuff & so do they!

me too - it can really stink with out using DE or Stall Dry on straw.
