Meat Birds and Pasting

is it mostly meat birds that get pasting.?

I have never had pasting with any of my egg girls, in July we got 16 meat birds and 6 or so got pasting.
9 eggs girls, none of them got it.

we got 20 more meat birds last wed, and 3 of them got pasting.
plus we got 8 more egg girls and they are not getting pasting.

As in pasting are you talking about pasty butt? I had 24 meat birds== none got it. But 6 OEG chicks did.

I now have another 24 meat birds, and 7 OEGs, will keep my eyes open.

(For some reason, my broody is on the same schedule as my meat birds.)

I think they all get it.I think that because we get the meatbirds in bigger batches we notice it more. Will

Yes Pasting on their Bum.

I just found it weird that the meat birds get it, and none of my egg girls.

pasting ----------O ... U Mean dirty bum...... I get it yes they do , I have meat birds X-ROCKS which I keep around with my other egglayers , not with them but alone which I have breeded with my RI .R and Lt. Bramham Roo. which I have some of the hathings in my raised out pen now about a week old .


Ok Yes they do get a dirty bum - a very dirty bum , I thing its becuz they eat large quainty 's of feed and water and there poop is really wet .

My Breeder 3 - X- Rock Cornish hens / Pets are over 6 months old been that way since a week old .......
