Meat birds, Meat birds got some questions on meat birds

have a question.
planning on butchering 2 cornish x this weekend and wondered if we need to restrict their diet?
we took food away this morning and its really hot here today...
is that ok or not?

I would keep them off feed for 24 hours before butchering but keep water available. Makes it a little less messy it they haven't eaten anything.
