A quick search on here and internet only shows day old chicks available. Has anyone ever bought meat birds as eggs and had a broody hatch them?
Still traumatized from the cockerels but also still considering meat birds, if that even is possible 🤦 hahaha

We have a broody who hatched and raised 12 fertilized eggs. That is the only way we will ever raise chicks again! Are we not candidates for meat birds then?
If that’s the only way you want to hatch, then fertile eggs are the way to go regardless of cost.

I had 3 shipments of heritage Cornish eggs. First 2 were from a very respected breeder. 3 rd was from a friend. Post office did a number on all of them.
I also had my own eggs in the incubator and they hatched fine
1st shipment 0 of 12 hatched
2nd shipment 1 of 11 hatched
3rd shipment 3 were broken and 0 of remaining 15
