I butchered and ate my first roo today. It was a cross of EE, BO and game. Huge drumsticks, very dark and flavorfull dark meat , almost non existant wings(thrown away), nice tastey breast meat. Very much reminded me of squirrel and other wild game. I love that by the way. But what breeds would be good to breed into my flock to improve the quality. FOr example, beef up the wings and eliminate the stringingness in the dark meat. I like my current mutt flock I just want to add some more hens for breeding.
