You can give them more than a piece--we throw a whole turkey (or chicken) carcass in there and it gets picked clean better than piranhas!

When I do this with roasted chicken I can't even find the bones at first I thought I was crazy but then I started looking real close and nope no bones.

When I make stock of any kind and fish out all the veg, bones and meat, I toss it all in the run and they go mad for it.
