Mechanics......Please help me......UPDATE.............

I was so happy that I did not blow up that new mower. Remember how I said I initially had to jump it off to start, well, I really didn't have to because I did not have the choke up, I had the throttle up. My husband would not have gotten THAT mad, I just felt so stupid to do that. I usually know about these things and love helping out around the house. He works alot to give his family everything we have and I am blessed to be able to stay home with the kiddos. I love being outside working. It makes me feel like I contribute something to this family. My daughter, 2, also loves being outside helping mommy. My son, 6, is in Kindergarten. I was more mad at myself than anything. I seriously felt sick to my stomach all day when it would not start, when I finally got it started, I did not have the choke on at all. It still runs like a charm. I'm so glad.

Oh yeah, the reason I stopped mowing first of all was that black smoke started coming out of the motor, that's why I was so scared, I blamed it on the thunder. I'm just glad that is over and everything is okay.

* TCM, my hubby the mechanic said ( for future reference ) that BLACK smoke means it's getting too much fuel for some reason, BUT if you ever see BLUE smoke then that means it is sucking oil past the valves and that's VERY, VERY bad!! ( as in engine overhaul bad!! ). . . .ED: What he said was more technical, but I made him keep it very simple for those of us that are NOT AT ALL mechanically inclined!!!!
