Medical help for the newbe !!!

BYC I'm so glad to be come a member. I also hope none to late ,I have an serious condition going on with my chicken`s. Yesterday I noticed my rooster not being himself. He was being a little lack of energy. Then when I went to lock my flock up for the night I walked right up to him picked him up no resistence at all this is not normal,this morning he had passed.Looking the situation over I noticed his comb yesterday was laying on its side, off color and looked dry.Today I also noticed one of my hen`s headed the same direction along with match head size black tar scabs on the comb also. Something is sertainly wrong can anyone help. Thanks

Hi and welcome to BYC, but sorry that its not under better circumstances that you join us. The comb discolouration sounds like Fowl pox, but I'd suggest posting on the ER forum for the best advice -
