Hi! I just got a nice blue egg from one of my gals (and I haven't even built the nest box D: ). Right now I'm feeding them a mix of flock raiser and medicated chick feed with 'monensin' (weaning them off the medicated stuff). Are the eggs edible? If not how long should I wait after fully converting them to the flock raiser before we can eat the eggs?

Switching to flock raiser instead of laying mash because I have some 2-month-old gals with the 5-monthers.

Wow, thats great your girls are laying so early. I had to wait 6 months. I switched my girls feed a little earlier so mine were off for some time before laying their first egg. I was thinking the same thing you are right now. Looking forward to the reply's you will receive here.

You are able to eat the eggs, there is no egg withdraw on either Amprolium or Lasalocid .

If only two of my five pullets didn't die two months ago... they were all the same age, so I could have just switched them to the laying feed. Ah well.
Thanks for the replies! Is Amprolium and/or Lasalocid related to Monensin? Please forgive my ignorance, I'm just not familiar with this stuff at all.
