My one week old chicks have been on medicated feed, although I did have them vaccinated for Marek's. Does this mean their vaccination no longer gives them any protection? Should I change to regular feed or is it too late? I read somewhere that MannaPro was supposed to be good feed so that is what I bought-not realizing that since it said "medicated" on the bag it might cause a problem with the vaccination.

Marek's vaccine is specific for Marek's disease, a viral illness.

Medicated feed as a rule has amprolium, a medication to inhibit the growth of cocci, a parasite. The're separate issues, so you're good.

I think the confusion comes in that there is a vaccine for cocci, and if you have that given you're not supposed to give the medicated feed.
