medicated feed age question

I am looking for someone to answer this question . why is it okay to feed medicated feed to a hen with her chicks but not okay to feed a chick that has been vaccinated medicated feed. the hen at one point been vaccinated so why is that okay. Is it after a certain age its okay for them to have medicated feed again or what is the deal ???????

If they have been vaccinated against cocci (not Marek's or any other vaccination,) the manufacturerer recommends that you not feed those chicks feed which is medicated with amprolium. I have no experience with this. I'd sugggest you read up on what the manufacturer of the vaccine has recommended, and the reasoning behind it.
