Medicated feed

I was told not to feed my baby chicks medicated feed if they have been vaccinated because it cancels out the vaccination. I have no clue. Can someone give me some info on that, please?

Ok. Then yes. The medicated chick feed will render the vaccine useless and vice versa.

Medicated feed is for coccidiosis only. It will cancel out that part of the vaccine. Your still good to go with the Mareks .

They do NOT cancel each other out. If you give your chickens medicated feed after they have been vaccinated, it could overdose them. One shot of the vaccination is all they need. The medicated feed is for coccidiosis only and it contains small amounts of amprolium (sp)? to help them build up a tolerance. Once vaccinated, they already have the tolerance.
