Thanks Kathy, I really appreciate the reply. We live in Canada in a small community with no avian savvy vets. Our local feed store fellow also raises chickens, he's a free-range egg seller and former organic farmer, have also known him for over 20 years, so took his word for the first med we got, it is Oxy Tetra-A. A water soluble powder that we put 1 tablespoon in 1 gallon of water for 10 days on and 2 off. It was helping but not enough so after a lot of searching and many phone calls we found a mobile farm vet who specializes in chickens (yeah) he couriered us Nomec, which is given as 1/4 ml immediately and then again in 3 weeks.
Well, we have given the first dose and they are no longer sneezing and they are still drinking their medicated water. I guess I should mention that these 2 are in a refrigerator box with the side cut off and a heat lamp attached across 2 2x4s, they also have to be kept really warm. Oh the lengths we go to for our friends. on a side note we have a little friend who broke her leg living in the house. She has her own dog carrier she lays her egg in and sleeps in and wears a diaper. So, if anyone needs a diaper pattern I have a great one.
