Medicated or regular chick starter??

I have been supervised "free ranging" my 3 and 4 week old chicks on the grass, this will still work the same as putting it in brooder, right? (I know, dumb question)

I would think so, they still getting to the soil even better the all natural way. I brought it into the brooder because it was still too cold out, and they have fun with it. I change it every few days.
