Medicated Starter Feed

It can be regional on the risk. The exposure was a good thing. As for switching, I'd just keep doing the non med for this bunch as I am not sure it's effectiveness in older birds. Just keep a close eye out for lethargic birds, weight loss, and often the tell tale sign of blood in the stools.

I wouldn't worry too much for now, having liquid amprol or sulmet on hand though is a good back up even if you feed medicated, as sometimes the amount in soil is so high, they can still get it. Cocci is in the soil everywhere and often is passed around through wild birds.
 
Well it came time for me to buy another bag of feed and I couldn't find any grower feed in town except medicated, so that's what I've got now. The chicks are nearly 6 weeks old and to this point have been on non-medicated - is switching to medicated going to cause any problems?
