I have two laying hens who are currently on layer feed and four 8 week old chicks on medicated starter/grower. They will be moved in together this week so I need to know if all can eat the medicated started/grower since I have a HUGE bag left if I offer oyster shell for the laying hens and if so, can we eat the eggs? If not, should I buy unmedicated grower for all and offer oyster shell for the layers?

Thanks!

Unmedicated grower would be better. Perhaps buy a bag and mix them to make use of what you have. Medicated feed contains a thiamine blocker so that isn't terrible like an antibiotic would be.
You probably have 12 or so weeks before they're all laying so they should be able to get through all that before they all are on layer. If you still have layer feed, refrigerate or freeze it to preserve the nutritional value till you feed it again.
