I've got some chicks coming 2nd week in march. I was looking at getting some medicated Purina Start and Grow. However, I noticed on the label that I should feed to chicks where immunity to Cocci is not desired. This confused me. Does this mean that the birds will never develop an immunity to Cocci? And they will always be susceptible to it?

I realize there are a number of dicussions about this right now. But I have not found anything specific to this.

Any thoughts?

If you get them vac. I dont think you feed med. start and grow. I have never got mine vacinated nor do I use medicated feed. I rasie my chicks organic and dont want that in them. I do have to clean alot. If you get non-medicated feed, you have to order it that way most of the time most places only carry medicated start and grow, my local feed store orders it for me extra because they dont carry it.
