We just received our baby chicks. They told us to use value pack also, which we are. The only question I have is you mix the med and water and need to change it every day. Is there a reason why? The water does not get dirty in any way. Is it okay to change the water and med every other day or so?

I mixed the powder and water and only filled the waterer part way.
Kept the rest in the fridge in a clean gallon milk jug. Emptied, washed and Refilled the waterer daily or as needed from the fresh jug kept under refrigeration.

What medication? And why? Plain water is good unless the chicks have a problem. Is it an electrolyte solution?
Mary
yes. I was advised to give chicks value pack for a few weeks. It is electrolytes. You can give it to adult chickens also

Important facts.
Water is life for chicks and dehydration kills.
Fresh at least once daily.
As they grow and become more active, getting their water dirty with bedding, food and poop will become their life’s work.
they constantly have clean water free of poops, etc. It's a full time job :)

Electrolyte over use is not good.
Use it for three days and stop.
There is no need for them to drink it for weeks.

Plain clean water after 3 days of electrolytes.
Save the electrolytes for when you have an emergency.
are you a veternian(?) I'm just curious. Said with nice sincerity.
