Medicines, additives, etc.

When I look through the books and online sites...I see things for chickens like Vet RX, Kicken Chicken, ...what are these? Is this something I should be giving to my chickens as a maintenance supplement. Should I being giving them some sort of supplement? Besides food, water, oyster shells, and grit...what else? We unfortunately already had to figure out about Blu Kote and Hot Pick.

I've seen all them, but until mine are sick, the onyl thing I give them besides what you listed is apple cidar vinegar in their water - one tbsp per gallon

Yep, me too...ACV. Ah, some extra vitamins in their water when the winter initially arrives or the weather is unusually bad. I give them a little extra boost when that causes extra stress (by watching them act different than normal, more easily agitated by little things).

ACV has to be put in plastic waterers? Do you do this all the time, or just a week per month? Also, what kind of vitamins?
