Thanks for checking it out! I'll make sure to update regularly. We just had a tree fall in the crazy wind. Thankfully it was the one on the far right side of the yard, so it missed the newly sunk coop posts by about 16 feet.

...we all understand how long it can take and how life can get in the way.

We went to Home Depot today. Bought some treated lumber for the frame. We're trying to do most of this with reclaimed wood and supplies, so we'll see how far thai goes. It has to be functional and then cute. On the flip side, I picked up a few chicks from the feed store. They're from Ideal, rare breed special pullets. Not sure what all they are but that's half the fun.

Yes, they're hatchery choice "rare breeds" could be anything... which was why I couldn't resist.

There are 2 more but they were napping by the time it got around to their turn, so I'll snap pics of them later. If anyone has any educated guesses as to breeds, I'll take it
