Hi all! I've seen lots of love for these Carpenter Shop feeders in these forums so I thought I'd turn here to resell. This is the medium chicken feeder from The Carpenter Shop. Includes soft close mechanism. Sadly, my chickens weren't quite heavy enough for this feeder to work well for them.

I paid $130 after shipping, and only used it for a week. Asking $90 and I'll cover shipping. Please message me if interested.

Photos are of the feeder for sale. Here's the original listing with more product info: https://ratproofchickenfeeder.com/Medium-Ratproof-Chicken-Feeder_p_1.html

What's the average weight of you chickens?

I'm not in need of the feeder, but more information might help you with selling it, good luck.

I use these and love them. One of my pullets is just 2lb and was having difficulty. I screwed a small extension platform (I call it her booster seat) and she is doing fine with them now.
Just saying in case @kayleyvdb wants to try that rather than reselling.
Here is a video of her using it. The booster is bigger than needed so I will likely trim it down.

They weren’t quite full grown when I got the feeder, which was part of my problem. It was the smaller mosaic that wasn’t able to open it on her own and she was dependent on the
other two to open it. Unfortunately, my silkie frizzle roo started to get aggressive with her when she would try to eat alongside him, and with such a small flock she didn’t have many opportunities to get enough food.

I considered trying an extension platform but had concerns it would make it less rat proof, which I why I got the treadle feeder to begin with. I ended up making an automatic feeder using a wall mounted feeder and a run-chicken door. It was more expensive but worked better for my situation.

I know tons of people love these Carpenter Shop feeders though so I’m happy waiting for the right buyer!
