Hello everybody! Hope y'all are having a mighty fine evening and a good summer with good showers for the crops and bright sun for you! I hereby introduce you to Bronze, our newest addition. Bronze is around (assumption) 2-4 months old. He's Annie's brother of whom looks like a spitting image of her but crimson colored with five toed feet! They both have beards and feathers legs, same colored beaks, same pattern feathers... but couldn't be more different in color and personality.

I do not wanna know if Bronze here is definitely a rooster. But, I do, indeed, wanna know what breed (mix) you think he is. You see, this is the curve ball I'm throwing you so get that mitt ready... here are the options of his cross breed.

1). Buff Brahma / Delaware / Dorking / Faverolle.
2). Buff Brahma / Delaware / Dorking / Blue Cochin (HECK no but still an opportunity).
3). Buff Brahma / Delaware / Dorking / Speckled Sussex.

Now. Either his beard goes back to the genetics of his great granddaddy Dorking or he's got Faverolle in his blood. I know cross breeding is a very unpredictable task but who knows, maybe one of you smart folks have the slightest idea. Thank you so much for reading, have a good one and God bless! (Please view photos of Bronze below. Please excuse me, the red shirt).

P.S. If I would trust my eyes I'd think I have myself an EE! But nope... not even close to a possibility.

I don't see any signs that indicate a cockerel.

With five toes, a beard, and the coloration (out of that mix) you definitely have Red Dorking and Faverolle in blood. Not sure about anything else, but those are physical traits that don't just pop up from nowhere.

Easter Egger's are birds that carry the blue egg gene. Not every bearded mutt is an Easter Egger, some are fun crosses like yours.

P.S. If I would trust my eyes I'd think I have myself an EE! But nope... not even close to a possibility.

It is a darling no matter what you have. My eyes would also say EE. :D but likely has that cute salmon Faverolle in there.

Hello everyone and good afternoon! Thank you for the replies, I find them very helpful as they are appreciated greatly.

Dorkings have beards? Are you possibly talking about the toe situation?

Beards are dominant. He can't have a beard if his parents don't.

Oops, please forgive me, yes, I'm talking about the toes which is either from his grandfather (Dorking/Delaware) or Mother (possible Faverolle). I must have thought about another genetic trait which on my part is misleading.

In that case, he has got to be a Faverolle. That's the only beared breed I have at the moment and in their history as far as I'm concerned.

I don't see any signs that indicate a cockerel.

You know, it's funny because he acts exactly like a young Cockerel yet when I researched Red Dorking (of which I've never seen, to be honest) I must say Bronze is now resembling a pullet in my eyes. Gosh, Bronze knows how to confuse me!

That is so very helpful and I indeed think the same now that I did some research!

Oh, yes, I know that. It's just funny because EE's normally have a few different patterns (not one titled one) and Bronze has that barring/laced look.

It is a darling no matter what you have. My eyes would also say EE. :D but likely has that cute salmon Faverolle in there.

Thank you so much! He says thank you too, lol. ;)
I appreciate your answer and certainly think your point is the most reasonable!! :D
