I managed to remember my phone this morning and snapped these before she got down for the morning. She sleeps in a goat stall with some other misfit chickens and the ducks

She has a sad story too. When we bought the place she had a chick, it looked like it was from an australorp, and she would sleep with her wing over its shoulders every night, even as it matured into a pullet. It died at 14 ish weeks from histomoniasis, we hadn’t realized it was sick... it was very sad because they were so bonded.

Well thanks for all your help, I figured she was a mix, but my husband was convinced she was a breed since she was so distinct looking.
