I have Barred rocks too in a mixed group and they are friendly but they are definitly in charge none of the others mess with them and they are always the first ones to check out something new then the others all follow they are a blast to watch!

Wecome to the Hen House!!! I love this site. Me & My chicks are fairly new too and I have been taking pictures...but none of them have been that great to post...and I accidently deleted some of the new ones. I am photograpgically impaired! But, I plan to post as soon as I can get the pics to turn out! Thanks for sharing...My BR's are also very friendly...One in particular, I call Dottie (because shea has a little dot on both sides of her beak) is the first to come greet me when I come out and is rather territorial. Then one of my EE's have named Shelly, use to fly out of the brooder to greet me. She still comes to me and Dottie tries to run her off.
