Meet my Chick!

Is that what happened to the poor guys neck? ;) I have another aggressive hen that deserves a little mention, she is part of Sammy’s flock (Now Dean and Cass’, will have to update everyone soon, have just been super busy). She tries to assert her dominance over every other hen through the hardware cloth of the pens even. Two days ago my sweet Barney (one of my larger Roosters) got out while I was moving the pens and she was challenging him! Chest bumping and chased him off! Everyone is fine here, even Barney, but I’m naming her “my little bully” and she seems convinced that I am her rooster and shouldn’t be associating with those other chickens!
Good to see you Kris. :hugs

Hey Kris. Great to see you. She sounds like Patsy out there taking on roosters! I love it.

TRUMP 2020 .... he’s tremendous 😆 😍 View attachment 2296742
I'm no fan of the man *shudder* but Trump the chicken is awesome!! And I giggle at the man every time I see the chicken, because the metaphor is so very apt it cracks me up :gigI'm also very curious about naked neck chickens because I live in a part of Australia which gets superhot and dry in summer.

Thank you WhoDatChick for keeping up on pictures of Trump! I have been watching him grow and it’s soo much fun! Thanks again!
And thank you! I’m so glad you are enjoying him! I hope he works out.. today he gave me a peck on the hand but I was going at him a little too fast I think... later he was fine with some pats and a hug :D .... and he has been trying “it” with all the gals and they are putting him in his place.. I hope he learns some manners from them.

Boys will be boys and they will always need girls to put them in their place...:gig

Yea.. that’s what I heard.. that they are good for hot places.. I do worry sometimes about him getting sunburned though 😳

I never liked their looks, but such is human opinion.
I thought the same thing when I first saw them, UGLY. Until I got a bunch. I've had many breeds, naked necks are the ultimate bestest dual purpose breed there is. And super exotic. And FYI doesn't matter where you live they thrive, great for hot climates, and where I am super cold subzero winters no probs. First birds out of the coop flap their bare breasted wings while I'm bundled up and freezing.
