Just now I sat down on the sofa and wondered what the lump was in my pocket. Of course it is a random egg I have been walking around with all day and forgot to put on the stand in the kitchen!
I really am a lost cause!

Yes! And if I could even remember to take the basket out with me mine would look like that (very pretty too!). But as it is I stuff them in my pockets and forget they are there.

Oh that is hilarious ... I’ve never forgotten one in my pocket! But the times I’ve put them there (when I forget my basket) I do worry about forgetting them... or smushing them!

Nope, not smashed. In spite of the chaos that follows me around (cannot possibly be to do with me can it?!) I am actually very careful, and so far have never smashed an egg except once when Elizabeth pushed Diana's egg out of the nest box just as I opened the door to collect eggs and it fell out and smashed on the floor.
The egg in my pocket this evening is safely on the stand in the kitchen and I might eat it for breakfast tomorrow because I am also not too scrupulous about using them up in date order.
