Hopefully today and next week should be better. I'm just about done cleaning up the mess my new boss made for me.

If you want to laugh, I got an email this morning from a recruiter asking if I'd be interested in a management position in the program I built over the course of 13 years. Of course, the company that bought the work has pretty much destroyed the program over the last four years and the new company is rebuilding it. No, I don't want any part of it and am thrilled to be away from that life. I'm simply too old to work those kind of hours again.

Isn't it funny how they come around again. My old group just begged me to help them finish a contract that was in its final stage of negotiation back in October when they threw me over. I wish them luck.

Isn't it funny how they come around again. My old group just begged me to help them finish a contract that was in its final stage of negotiation back in October when they threw me over. I wish them luck.

I get stuff that says things like 'your career could be enhanced if you connected with xxxx' and I look and find xxxx is someone I hired, trained and mentored. Always makes me laugh. In one case it was someone who still reports to me. Insane.
